As the first Executive Director of the Association of Bookmobile & Outreach Services, Cathy Zimmerman (she/her)
has the duties of overseeing all aspects of the Organization. Included in those duties, chairing several committees, acting as the Vendor Coordinator, and overseeing the formation of a Strategic Plan. 

Previously Zimmerman served as a Bookmobile Associate and Senior Services Specialist with the Scott County Library in Eldridge, Iowa for 17 years. As the Bookmobile Associate, her duties included all aspects of bookmobile activity as well as program responsibilities for Senior facilities in the area. In addition, she has served in various positions on the Association of Bookmobile & Outreach Services Board of Directors, including serving as the 2020 President. She has presented numerous times at the ALA Annual Conference on the topics of outreach and programming, and served on various ALA and PLA committees. She is also a recipient of both the John Phillip Excellence in Outreach Award and the RUSA Outstanding Outreach Award.
